By using SeenWant, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of the terms, you may not use the service.
SeenWant is a personal media library that allows you to track movies, TV shows, books, and games using a swipe interface. We provide media information through third-party APIs (TMDB, RAWG, Google Books, Open Library).
Full access to features requires Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Guest mode is limited to 10 swipes. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You retain rights to your lists, ratings, and any comments you submit. By posting content, you grant SeenWant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the service. You are solely responsible for your content. We do not pre-screen user content but may remove it if it violates these Terms or applicable law.
SeenWant is an interactive computer service under 47 U.S.C. § 230. We are not the publisher or speaker of any user-generated content (lists, comments, ratings). We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user content and are not liable for it. Users are solely responsible for the content they post.
Prohibited: automated data scraping, hacking attempts, API abuse, infringing on third-party intellectual property rights, posting illegal/harmful/defamatory content, harassment, impersonation, malware distribution, commercial use without permission, attempts to bypass security measures or rate limits.
SeenWant uses data from TMDB, RAWG, Google Books, and Open Library. All images (posters, covers, stills, screenshots) belong to their respective rights holders and are displayed via official APIs of these services. We do not claim ownership of this content. These third-party services have their own terms of use, which you should review. We are not responsible for third-party services.
SeenWant complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe content on SeenWant infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our Designated Agent (see /dmca page for full procedure and contact information). We will respond promptly to valid notices and may remove allegedly infringing content. We have a policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. False or bad-faith DMCA notices may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
We will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate user accounts that have been the subject of multiple DMCA takedown notices or other repeated copyright infringement. We do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their works.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free service, or accuracy/completeness of data from third-party sources (TMDB, RAWG, Google Books, etc.). Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in such cases, the exclusions above may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEENWANT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations; in such cases, the above limit applies to the extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SeenWant, its operators and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party rights including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights, (d) any content you submit to the service.
If you are a US resident, you and SeenWant agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by {{ARBITRATION_PROVIDER}} under its applicable rules, rather than in court. YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. Exception: either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by sending written notice via the contact form. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable, the entire arbitration clause is severed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW_STATE}}, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. For disputes not subject to arbitration, you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state and federal courts located in {{JURISDICTION_VENUE}}, USA. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or any reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through Profile settings or by contacting us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Arbitration, Governing Law) will survive.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SeenWant regarding the service. Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver.
We may modify these terms. For material changes, we will provide notice via the service interface or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the service before the effective date.
For general questions, use the feedback form in the website footer. For DMCA notices: see /dmca. For privacy requests: see Privacy Policy. Legal entity, postal address, and contact email will be provided once finalized.
